Moors Parade: Fiesta, La Vila Joiosa, July, 2025.
The Moors and Christians Fiesta in Vila Joiosa, is a week long celebration re-enacting the battle of 1538 between Moors and Christians. It features parades, mock sea battles and beach landings in honour of the patron saint of the town, Santa Marta, who is believed to have intervened to create a storm, sinking the pirate ships.
